The documentary opens with a Go tournament between the DeepMind Technologies AlphaGo computer program and Go champion Lee Sedol. In March 2016, AlphaGo won four out of five games of Go in a match with Go champion Lee Sedol, becoming the first computer Go-playing system to beat a professional Go player without handicaps. Go is a relatively complex game, compared to Chess.
