Bank Robbery at the First Midwest Bank on Golf Rd Near Pine St, Waukegan

Police from Waukegan responded about 4:35 p.m. Thursday November 14, 2019 to a report of a bank robbery at the First Midwest Bank, 1201 Golf Road in Waukegan.

After arriving and confirming a bank robbery, Waukegan police officers immediately began searching for the suspect. According to Waukegan police, the suspect walked into the bank and walked to a teller. He demanded money from the teller via a note, which also implied he had a weapon. No gun was displayed.

The bank robber was last seen fast-walking out of the bank. He departed from the bank property in a direction that was initially unknown.

The suspect is described as a male/black in his 30s with a dark complexion and a goatee, 5’10, 170 LBS, wearing a light blue denim jacket with a dark sweatshirt underneath, and a Chicago Bulls cap with the letters “TRUE” on the front. The suspect was also wearing dark pants and dark or black shoes with white soles.

No injuries were reported.

The amount of money taken by the bank robber was not initially specified.
