House Fire Caused By Lightning Strike on Longmeadow Drive Barrington Hills Extinguished in Minutes

Barrington Hills police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:07 AM Tuesday September 3, 2019 to a report of a house fire on Longmeadow Drive east of the intersection of Longmeadow Drive and Rolling Hills Drive Barrington Hills, Il. Engine 37’s crew on arrival reported nothing showing exterior from two sides by 7:16 a.m.
Engine 37 at 7:17 a.m. reported a fire on the east side of the house caused by a lightning strike, and upgraded the response to a Code 4 “working fire” response. The fire was extinguished by about 7:27 a.m.
