TUE SEP 03 2019 ~6:31 AM ATTIC FIRE IN HOUSE ON SKYLINE DRIVE NEAR HAZELWOOD DRIVE CRYSTAL LAKE • Crystal Lake Fire Rescue • HOUSE FIRE/BOX ALARM • Skyline Drive and Hazelwood Drive Crystal Lake, IL • MABAS Division 5 Box Alarm on Box #5-371 for a house fire. Initial dispatch at 6:31 a.m. Initial status update at about 6:49 a.m. firefighters on scene reported a fire in a second story fireplace, but it was unknown how the fire started. Severe thunderstorm with lightning in the area at the time of the fire. Crew on scene reports fire in the attic at 6:55 a.m. box Alarm about 7:01 a.m. Box Alarm Struck out at 7:42 a.m. [INCIDENT MAP]

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 60. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
