Fire Scene Photos from Chicago Fire Department at Newly Weds Foods Near Wrightwood and Keeler Ave, Chicago

Chicago police and firefighters and paramedics responded about 4:45 PM Tuesday April 2, 2019 to a report of a fire in a large factory at Wrightwood Ave and Keeler Ave Chicago, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a fire at Newly Weds Foods, which is classified as a restaurant wholesaler, and according to their official website is a global purveyor of customized breaders, batters, seasonings, and functional ingredients. The fire response was elevated eventually to a 5-11 Alarm at 7:11 p.m. and fire command reported heavy fire still ongoing as late as 8:41 p.m. The 5-11 Alarm was Struck Out, and the Level I Hazmat was Secured at 10:07 p.m.

One firefighter was injured and transported to Illinois Masonic — listed in Good Condition. All employees were accounted for, and initially no injuries were reported among employees.
