Hawthorn Woods police and Lake Zurich firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:17 PM Thursday December 13, 2018 to a report of a house fire 42.240165, -88.095396 (Steeplechase Drive and Derby Lane Hawthorn Woods, Il). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that the roof was on fire at a large house on Steeplechase Drive.
A MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm on Box #32C2 for a house fire on Steeplechase Drive near Derby Lane was activated by 3:26 p.m. Firefighters from Arlington Heights, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Fox River Grove, Palatine, Wheeling and more assisted Lake Zurich firefighters.
The fire loss was reported stopped by about 3:39 p.m.
The house affected by the fire was located behind the Barrington Hills Polo Club.
