Multiple national media sources are reporting that a suspect has been arrested in Florida after an intense investigation at a postal service facility near Miami International Airport occurred this morning. Aerial video from CBS Miami shows police investigating and towing a white van in Plantation, Florida. The white van had numerous signs displayed in the windows.
NBC is reporting that the man was taken into custody at an auto parts store on State Road 7 in Plantation, Florida. Fox News is reporting that a 56 year-old white male was taken into custody in Aventura, Florida. Fox News is reporting he has prior arrests related to threats and is a former New York resident. The two cities are about 20 miles apart. Sunrise, Florida, where US Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s office received a package, is just northeast of Plantation, Florida.
