Des Plaines police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:40 PM Tuesday May 1, 2018 to a report of a crash into a house with injuries — no extrication, Oakton Street and Pennsylvania Avenue Des Plaines, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics first received a report of a domestic-related car vs pedestrian hit-and-run on Oakton Street west of Wolf Road. The hit-and-run offender may have fled the seen and then crashed into a house almost one mile west at Oakton Street and Pennsylvania Avenue at about 8:45 p.m.
There was no extrication at the car vs house scene, but two ambulances were sent to the scene.
A Rosemont ambulance was initially sent to the the hit-and-run scene on Oakton Street near Wolf Road.
The offending driver was in custody with Des Plaines police at the car vs house crash. At least 8 Des Plaines police SUVs were at the scene at Oakton Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
