On March 9th, 2018 and one month before Run to Remember Los Angeles, and with the support of Run to Remember LA, LAPD officer Joe Cirrito will embark upon another run in full uniform to honor late LAPD Officer Ian J. Campbell, who died on March 9th, 1963. Officer Campbell was murdered 55 years ago in the onion fields of Bakersfield. LAPD officer Joe Cirrito will be starting this running endeavor from the same onion fields in Bakersfield with my team of volunteers. This memorial run, “Just Cause,” will conclude at the LAPD Fallen Officer Memorial in Downtown LA — a distance of over 100 miles..

The proceeds raised from this 2- to 3-day running endeavor will go to needed repairs for LAPD’s Memorial for Fallen Officers and, in collaboration with Run To Remember Los Angeles, to sponsor our youth to participate in the upcoming Run To Remember Los Angeles 10K/Half Marathon on April 8, 2018.
