Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:43 AM Thursday March 8, 2018 to a report of a crash with injuries on 42.059710, -88.047421 (EB Interstate 90 near Mile Marker 67.5 Schaumburg, Il). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a crash with injuries involving a pickup truck and a Toyota Camry with a man unconscious in the pickup truck. Apparently the man was just looking down, because only a minor injury was reported when paramedics arrived.
There were conflicting reports whether the crash was in the right lane or the left shoulder, and also whether it was west of Meacham Road or east of Meacham Rd.
Ambulance 52’s crew on arrival by 8:50 a.m.reported the crash was on EB I-90 west of Meacham Road and was located just before the exit to southbound Route 53. There were possibly three vehicles involved.
A second ambulance requested by 8:47 a.m. but was returned. Engine 54’s crew held up extra fire companies, reporting only one apparent minor injury by 8:52 a.m.
Traffic was backed up past Roselle Road at 9:20 a.m.
The crash was also reported on Waze.
