Free Admission at Shedd Aquarium from Wednesday September 6 to Saturday September 30, 2017


Starting Wednesday, September 6, 2017 the Shedd Aquarium will have 24 consecutive free days for Illinois residents. The free admission will cover special exhibits, aquatic shows, and the Stingray Touch sessions. On 52 days throughout the year, Illinois residents with a valid ID receive free admission at the Shedd Aquarium (sponsored by Ford Motor Company).

Online Illinois Resident Free Day tickets must be reserved at least one day in advance. Illinois Resident Free Day tickets are expected to sell out — the Shedd Aquarium recommends reserving Free Day Tickets online in advance.

Please note: A $3 transaction fee applies to Illinois Free Day tickets reserved online. This helps ensure access to as many neighbors as possible by validating orders.

The Jazzin’ at the Shedd event will also be free this month. The Jazzin’ after-hours event is usually $20 and features skyline views with cocktails.
