At 712 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. While the storms will have move quickly through, earlier storms from last night and early this morning have saturated the ground. This will cause minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include Chicago and many of its suburbs.

A Flood Advisory continues for The Des Plaines River at River Forest
* until Friday evening.
* At 800 AM Thursday the stage was 14.4 feet.
* Action stage is 13.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast…The river will rise slightly to near 14.5 feet by
this evening.

With thunderstorms rolling through Thursday morning, and more rain in the forecast the next couple days, people living in the north suburban flood zone were waiting to see when swollen rivers and lakes finally will recede to normal levels. CBS 2’s Mike Puccinelli reports.
