Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:10 PM Thursday, June 8, 2017 to a report of a gunshot victim at the Mobil gas station at the northeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and McHenry Road.
Buffalo Grove firefighter/paramedics transported one patient, apparently with a gunshot wound, to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
A second ambulance was requested to the scene about 10 minutes later for an injury that was not a gunshot wound. A male patient was transported to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Several police officers and detectives were in the area and secured part of the gas station property as a crime scene, but it did not appear that any suspects or offenders were at large in the immediate area.
Early morning it was still unknown where the shooting occurred, but a gunshot victim was transported from the Bucky’s Mobil gas station and convenience store at the northeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and McHenry Road. Initially police and firefighter/paramedics were told an offender might be on the scene and might be connected to a white SUV — no make or model available. The scene was declared secure by 9:13 p.m. and paramedics were moved up to treat a patient with a gunshot wound to the hip.
It is also unknown at this time whether the shooting involved a hostile offender or an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.
