Fill the Boot MDA Drive with AHFD on the Streets and at Ditka’s Arlington Park-Trackside Friday May 19

After a full day of the drive to Fill the Boot, Arlington Heights Firefighters and the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be hosting an AHFD MDA Benefit from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Friday May 19, 2017 with live music from the country band Dixie Crush, a live and silent auction, several raffles, allucandrink from our sponsors, and appetizers at Ditka’s Trackside, 2000 West Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights. Plus, 100 percent of the proceeds going to MDA, which provides medical services and summer camps to local children living with Muscular Dystrophy at no cost to their families. The event at Ditka’s is open to the public. The event emcee will be “Whip” from the Eric & Kathy Show 101.9 the Mix. That day the firefighters will be out in all the major intersections on Arlington Heights Road, collecting with their firefighter boots from 6:30am-10:30am and then 2:00 pm-6:00 pm.


Between 6:30am-10:30am at the firefighters major collection location at the Vail Street Market Jewel (122 North Vail Avenue) in downtown Arlington Heights, firefighters and MDA will have the company Firezone with a firefighter obstacle course for kids and a firefighter simulator trailer as well. The Arlington Heights Fire Department will have their Tower Ladder truck on display. At that same location, the WGN Morning News Around Town with Ana will be there from 7:45 am-9:45 am filming live segments along with the WCIU morning show “You & Me” will be filming live segments at 6:40 am and 7:40 am. These segments will have TV personalities interacting with the fire department and MDA Ambassadors like local Arlington Heights resident 6 yr-old Ben Noble and MDA Good Will Ambassador for the State of Illinois 14 yr-old Lizzie Chamberlain from Jacksonville, Illinois. Radio stations will be on hand with fun giveaways as well. The Arlington Heights firefighters will be collecting in the major intersections of Arlington Heights from 6:30 am-10:30 am and 2:00 pm-6:00 pm that day.
