Four Residential Burglaries in 6 Hours in Wilmette Friday Jan. 27, 2017

Wilmette police responded to at least four residential burglaries Friday night, January 27, 2017 between 4:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. In one incident a homeowner walked in while the burglars were there.

Police said the burglaries occurred across down, specifically mentioning one burglary location in the block of 3400 Wilmette Avenue and one location in the block of 900 Hunter Road, one burglary in the block of 1300 Elmwood Avenue, and one burglary in the block of 1100 Greenwood Avenue.

After investigation, the only common factor revealed by Wilmette police was that all the houses that were burglarized had no interior lights on and no exterior lights on.
