Snow Could Be Finished; Beware of Ice Coating Under Light Snow that Fell


Winter Weather Advisory until March 1, 09:00 AM CST

CAUTION: There is a coating of ice under light dusting of snowfall.

TODAY: Snow, freezing rain, and sleet is possible before 2pm, but radar ( indicates the snow is finished for Tuesday morning. There is a small chance of very light snow between 2pm and 5pm. High near 31 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Temperatures holding at 29-30, then falling after 3:00 pm. Falling to 19 by midnight Tuesday/Wednesday.

Blustery, with a north northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph, peaking from noon to 1:00 pm. Winds will shift to north by 3:00 pm and northwest by 6 pm.

Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch is possible, but any additional accumulation may be finished for today.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17 from 5:00 am to 6:00 am. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph before midnight.
