Antioch Police and Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 7:15 PM Monday, March 21, 2016 to the 42900 block of North Janette Street in unincorporated Antioch to a report of a man with a gun. When sheriff’s deputies arrived, they learned the incident stemmed over an argument with a barking dog. During the argument, Scott R. Kisler, 51, of the 25000 block of West 1st Street of unincorporated Antioch displayed a firearm. Kisler then returned to his residence.
Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to make contact with Kisler at his residence. Kisler refused to answer the door and turned the lights off inside his residence. After several minutes, sheriff’s deputies were able to make contact with Kisler, where he was arrested without further incident.
Sheriff’s Deputies located a BB gun inside Kisler’s residence, which was the gun he previously displayed while engaged in the argument.
Kisler was subsequently charged with Aggravated Assault (Class A Misdemeanor), Obstructing a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor), and Disorderly Conduct (Class C Misdemeanor). He is currently being held at the Lake County Jail on $30,000.00 bail. His next court date is April 28, 2016 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-403.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
