Body of Missing Arlington Heights Man Found in Barrington Hills

The body of missing Arlington Heights man Timothy Anderson was found about 10:20 AM Wednesday in Barrington Hills. The husband and father of two children was found approximately in the area where his cell phone was pinged Monday night, and where his car was found about 7 PM Monday.

Police have not officially released the method of the death or any other information about the case. Autopsy results are expected Thursday morning. The case involving Tim Anderson was classified as a death investigation after his body was found. The body was found with jeans on, but no shirt. Blood was also found near the body.

Arlington Heights police were investigating a missing person report for Timothy Anderson, age 38, who was last seen by his wife Cathrall when he left home between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Monday February 8, 2016.

He was reported missing later Monday after his wife learned he never arrived at work at Northern Trust Bank.

A ping from Anderson’s cellphone Monday night led Cook County Forest Preserve police, while assisting Arlington Heights police, to discover his dark silver or charcoal Acura TL near the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve in Barrington Hills. Anderson’s vehicle was located near the intersection of Donlea Road and Bateman Road in Barrington Hills at 7:00 pm. The location is near a west utility entrance to Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve and Spring Lake Nature Preserve. The location of the vehicle was about one-half mile north of Algonquin Road. The scene is also located near the Barrington Hills Riding Center and large estate homes to the west.

Anderson had no known medical or psychological issues. He was described as male/white, 38 years-old, 6’00, 215 pounds, brown/grey hair, hazel eyes.

Tim Anderson was last seen wearing blue jeans, a Chicago Bears hooded sweatshirt, a black Northface jacket, a silver wedding ring, sneakers, and a Chicago Bears baseball style cap.

An Air One search helicopter, police authorities, and family members were searching the forest preserve Tuesday afternoon and evening. His body was found in the same general area.
