Gas Prices Expected to Drop to the Lowest in 5 Years.

According to IllinoisGasPrices.com today’s average price for gasoline is $2.97. In the Chicago area gas prices are lowest in Batavia, Elgin, and Naperville.

On Tuesday, no gas stations were reported to be selling gasoline for under $3.00 in Arlington Heights.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports the price of benchmark North Sea Brent crude has remained below the symbolically important $100-a-barrel level since earlier this month.
