Arlington Heights Weather Forecast: Thundershowers Until Midnight, Rain Continues Overnight, 52 At Midnight

Chicagoland weather radar shows fast moving thundershowers from southwest to northeast. The first band is just leaving the northwest suburbs. A second band was passing I-80 at about 9:05 p.m.

Lightning and thunder is possible until about midnight. Less than 0.25 inch of rain is forecast for overnight, except for downpours possible in thunderstorms.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then showers likely. The temperature is forecast to rise to 52 about midnight and then fall to a low around 37 at 8:00 a.m. Breezy, with a south southwest wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph — gusts gradually diminishing and stopping around 8:00 a.m. winds are forecast to shift to northwest about 6:00 a.m. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday A chance of rain and snow showers, mainly before 8am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a steady temperature around 41 to 45 degrees between noon and 2:00 p.m. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon about 2:00 p.m. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Saturday Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 43. North northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 29. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Sunday Sunny, with a high near 58.

Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 43.

Monday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Breezy.

Monday Night A chance of rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.

Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.

Tuesday Night A slight chance of rain and snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Wednesday A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41.
