States of emergency have been declared across the Midwest and into the Northeast as the latest winter storm blows in.

ABC’s Gio Benitez use a FLIR camera (infrared) to examine where clothing leaks heat. The camera finds heat leaking out of a zipper that doesn’t have a wind flap over the zipper.
The warmest winter coats are down coat with a label of 650 to 800 fill. Preferably the coats are long coats — well over the waist.
Thousands of flights were canceled, government offices were closed, and students got an extra day off from school across the Northeast as some of the nation’s largest cities prepared for a foot or more of snow.
