Man and 9-Year-Old Boy Killed in Cessna 172 Skyhawk Crash in Fresno, California

Two people died when a small plane crashed near Fresno, California’s airport on Thursday. Nobody on the ground was hurt.

A Cessna 172 Skyhawk crashed about 6:30 p.m. 800 feet west of a runway at Fresno Chandler Executive Airport in the front yard of a house on West Avenue that ends at the airport.

The aircraft first hit a tree in a neighborhood near Hawes and Thorne on the east side of Chandler Executive Airport.
