Firefighters Investigate Report of Chimney/Fireplace Fire On E. Jonquil Terrace, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:15 PM Monday to a report of a fire in the chimney in the block of 1700 East Jonquil Terrace Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived Immediately and discovered that the fire did not involve the main chimney.

It is unknown if it was necessary to put any water on the fire, but first firefighters on the scene returned extra companies immediately after arriving and checking the rear of the house. Two engine crews and a Battalion Chief remained on scene to investigate and secure the scene.

No injuries were reported. Buffalo Grove firefighters assisted Arlington Heights firefighters with a ladder truck on automatic response to the north side of town.
