Cloud cover tonight could prevent a wide-area freeze. The low in Arlington Heights is expected to drop below 32 degrees after 2:00 a.m., and hit 30 degrees at 6:00 a.m.

Chicagoland weather radar [LIVE RADAR] shows precipitation moving east in downstate Illinois — south of Peoria and near Champaign, Illinois.
Satellite images show that cloud cover is scattered across much of Illinois and Wisconsin. Clouds are expected to decrease today, but if they linger after sunset, temperatures will not be as cold as expected.
Steady west winds are expected today at about 15 mph. Wind gusts of 23 mph to 24 mph area expected between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
