COOK COUNTY, IL – Cook County Sheriff’s Police detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding a 22-year-old man who is suspected of severely beating and stabbing his mother Monday, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said.
Cook County Sheriff’s Police are looking for Blake Springsteen, of Homewood, IL. He is a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighs about 240 pounds.
Springsteen is suspected of beating the 46-year-old woman in the 3600 block of Flossmoor Road in unincorporated Homewood. He then reportedly bound her, put her in the trunk of a car and drove her to the Village of Crete. Then he stabbed her multiple times and left her in a ditch in the 900 block of Columbia Street.
Sheriff Dart asks the public not to approach Springsteen and asks anyone with information about Springsteen’s whereabouts to call 9-1-1 or Cook County Sheriff’s Police at 847-635-1188.
