Meet and Greet For Wheeling Township Candidates At Arlington Heights Historical Society


The League of Women Voters (LWV) is hosting a Candidate Meet & Greet on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7:30 PM – 9 PM at the Arlington Heights HISTORICAL SOCIETY, 110 W. Fremont Street in Arlington Heights.

Each candidate is to make a 3-minute timed statement about their qualifications, their reasons for running for office, their perceived major issues, and their plan for Wheeling Township and its residents.

After the statements are completed, the meeting will adjourn, and the candidates and people in the audience will be invited to stay until 9 PM for refreshments and conversation.

The candidates listed are …

Republican candidates:

Michael B. Schroeder (Supervisor), Jerry D. Sadler (Assessor),

Joanna Gauza (Clerk), and Scott Saewert (Hwy Commissioner).

Republicans running for four trustee openings:

Michael Domrzalski, Robert Hoban, Ruth O’Connell, & Kathy Penner.

Democratic candidates:

Fernando G. Arenas, Jr. (Supervisor), Donald A. Bussey (Assessor),

Marc Adelman (Clerk), and Michael MacDonald (Hwy Commissioner).

Democrats running for four trustee openings:

Robert A. Boros, Kim Simmons, Nikos D. Tsonis, & Siobhan White.

The meeting is free and open to the community.
