Waste Tanker Truck Rollover Crash at Algonquin Rd and Route 53, Rolling Meadows

Video of extended towing operation after waste tanker truck was involved in a rollover crash at Algonquin Road and Route 53 Saturday afternoon.

Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics and the Illinois State Police responded about 3:00 PM Saturday to a rollover crash involving a waste tanker truck at the on ramp from Algonquin Road to northbound Route 53. Police shut down the on ramp for over 90 minutes. No injuries were reported, and no hazardous materials were reported. A slight odor of waste was present near the area of the crash.

Hillside Towing was involved in an extended heavy towing operation while the waste transport company transferred remaining waste to a second waste tanker truck.

The on ramp was cleared about 5:30 p.m.
