Corey Frazier Stabbed to Death in Apartment Complex Courtyard on East Rand Grove Lane, Palatine

VIDEO: Arlington Heights and Palatine firefighter/paramedics transport a stabbing victim Corey Frazier to the hospital, and police immediately start investigation of the stabbing with portable lighting.

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics and Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:58 p.m. Sunday to a report of a fight involving 20 people in an apartment courtyard at 730 East Rand Grove. Minutes later police received a report that a person was stabbed at a 740 East Rand Grove location. Police were on the scene within two minutes, confirmed a stabbing victim, and requested firefighter/paramedics expedite to the scene.

Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded with an ambulance and transported the victim to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Corey Frazier, 21, of Palatine was pronounced dead shortly after 11:00 p.m. with multiple stab wound in the chest and abdomen.

Police were investigating with portable lighting in the courtyard. No word on any arrests or charges, but police are questioning a man who turned himself Monday afternoon in to police after fleeing last night. The man was identified by witnesses, and arrived at Palatine Police Department Headquarters with his attorney.
