Man Injured in SUV vs. Tree Crash on Brandywyn Ln Near Cedar Ct, Buffalo Grove


VIDEO: Extrication operations after a crash involving a Cadillac Escalade and a tree that injured the male driver.

Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:12 a.m. Friday to a serious SUV vs. tree crash in the 2100 block of Brandywyn Ln, near Brandywyn Lane and Cedar Court. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a male driver trapped in a black Cadillac Escalade with heavy front-end and driver side damage.

The crash involved a difficult extrication operation, using Hurst extrication tools and other rescue tools. The man was extricated from the vehicle about 1:05 a.m. He was immediately transported with trauma alert to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center.
