Dynamic Running Class from SUB 5 Available Through Runner’s High ‘n Tri

Dynamic Running Class is available at Runner’s High ‘n Tri on Campbell Street. Registration is open for June. The sessions involve screening for injury prevention and efficiency improvement, followed by corrective drills, lessons on form and proper application of force for efficient motion, and a final assessment of recommendation for training down the road.

The sessions involve two groups that meet either Mon. and Thu. at 6:30pm – 8:30pm — June 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st (Group A);


Mon. and Thu. at 6:30pm – 8:30pm — June 25th, 28th, July 2nd and 5th (Group B).

The topics and class activity include the following:

Dynamic Running Introduction
8 – 10 hours program – $120.00
(Maximum : 10 people)

Session One – Screening
Discover why your injury keeps coming back and/or what causes the inefficiency in your running.

Session Two – Corrective Drills
Get rid of the bad habits and develop a good habit/skill for running through “Dynamic Movement Drill” for your upper body and lower body. These drills will guide you towards proper running form.

Session Three – Understanding Gravity and Momentum. No more up and down motion in your running. Once you understand the proper running form/skill, you will learn how to apply “force” in order to create up and forward movement into your running.

Session Four – Test Drive!
This final session is very important. Our coach will make the final assessment test and recommendation for each individual. This is the day when we incorporate everything that we learn into running.

Dynamic Power Training Program
Pre-requisite of Dynamic Running Introduction
8 – 10 hours program – $150.00
(Maximum : 6 people)
This is not a normal, as seen on TV weight training class! Our Dynamic Power Weight Training Program is designed to increase the power in running. Our team will work with each individual to create the lifting program based on his/her resting heart rate, weight and height ratio.

The Dynamic Running Class with Janet Leet is located at the Sub5 Performance Center at the Fitness Advantage 24/7 training facilty, 102 East Wing Street in Arlington Heights.

According to the SUB 5 website, Janet Leet has over 30 years experience in Cross Country and Track & Field. She has several honors and accomplishments:

New Jersey’s High School Cross-Country Athlete of the Century; ACC 50 Year Team in Cross Country, Indoor Track, & Outdoor Track; Kinney (Foot Locker) Cross Country National Champion; 28 x New Jersey State Champion; 10 x Collegiate Division I All American; 23rd at the World Cross Country Championships; Team USA Champion; 2 x Olympic Trials qualifier.
