Bolingbrook firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:35 p.m. Tuesday to a report that a 10- or 11-year-old girl ‘went under’ the water surface of a pond behind Pioneer School, 1470 Raven Drive. A special request for MABAS Division 16 divers was called to the scene for a water rescue. An 11-year-old female was found underwater after a search of about one hour. The girl was treated with CPR and Advanced Life Support and transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as Jordan Oliver.

Witnesses told ABC 7 Chicago reporter John Garcia that Jordan Oliver jumped into the pond from a pedestrian bridge on a dare with other girls.
