When Does it Cool Off in Chicago? Afternoon Storms Will Arrive with Cooler Temps

The cool off will probably start about 4:00 p.m. The National Weather Service has put out a Hazardous Weather Outlook with the greatest chance for thunderstorm after 4:00 p.m. The high is expected to be about 79°F. However, one weather model predicts a high of only 70°F about 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Only a few widespread showers developing, according to radar imaging.

AS A SLOW MOVING UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES TOWARD
THE REGION. CONDITIONS DO NOT APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE
WEATHER…HOWEVER ANY THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DEADLY CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAIN.

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY…ESPECIALLY
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80.
