#ad▼

Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:55 p.m. Wednesday to a car vs. house crash in the 400 block of Cypress Court. Emergency responders received a report that a car crashed into a garage. Firefighters also received a report that gas was leaking, but there information received did not specify whether it was gasoline or natural gas.

Firefighters arrived and discovered a gas pipe was leaking after it was struck by the car, and immediately shut off the gas. The car struck the back wall of the garage. Apparently no serious injuries and no word on any transports to the hospital — not confirmed.

The Schaumburg building department was called out to the scene to evaluate the structural damage.
