Witnessed Purse Theft from Bike Handlebars at Campbell Street Park, Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows police responded about 1:04 p.m. Sunday to a report of a theft of a purse in the Campbell Street Park, 3300 Campbell Street. Police received a report that a man ran up and took a purse off the victim’s bicycle handlebars in the park near Cardinal Drive, Campbell Street, and School Drive. The offender was described as a male/Hispanic, about late teens, wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt and blue jeans. The offender was last seen running east on Campbell Street and then north toward Euclid Avenue — past the tennis courts. The victim was about 35 feet away from her bicycle when the offender took the purse.
