Man Stabbed in the Neck in Apartment Unit on Rose Ave, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:33 a.m. Monday to the 1700 block of North Rose Avenue, Palatine to a report of a stabbing victim. Police first had report of an unknown problem with a hysterical caller. About a minute later police learned there was a stabbing victim at the location with a report of a man wearing a red Chicago Bulls shirt jumped out of a window. Police found a significant amount of blood in the apartment, but no victim and no suspect. About the same time another police officer found the victim in a parking lot nearby with a laceration at the neck.

Police were searching for the suspect at 1:40 a.m. Monday.
