Gary, Indiana Struck By Multiple Fires in September and October

Fully-involved house fire in the 2900 block of Colfax and 2800 Black Oak Road in Gary, Indiana.

Gary, Indiana firefighter fought fires in a house, garage and storage unit on Wednesday night.

On September 24, 2011 Gary Fire Department fought six fire overnight. Fires were reported in vacant buildings at the 2400 block of Nicholas Avenue, at 33rd and Rhode Island, and at Ridge Road and Washington. Firefighters enroute to one of those fires discovered a house burning at 19th and Georgia. Fires were also reported at 25th and Ralston and at 5th and Connecticut.
