Buffalo Grove police responded to a report of a strong arm robbery that occurred about 7:40pm on Saturday September 10, 2011 in the 700 block of Checker Drive. The crime occurred at a house, just north of Willow Grove School. The offender was described as a male/white, 18-19-years-old, wearing a gray sweater and baggy blue jeans. He was also described as having a Polish accent.

A 17-year-old resident reported that while walking home he was asked for money by a subject and the resident refused. The subject then punched the resident in the face knocking him to the ground. The subject then stood over the resident and again asked for the money and it was given to the offender by the victim.

Buffalo Grove police officers located the offender and his friends immediately after the crime was reported. The offender stated that he played basketball with the resident and the resident lost and paid the offender money. A group of about eight subjects were playing basketball at the time.

At least one subject was arrested and transported in custody Saturday night.

  1. Buffalo Grove = vast Russian population, especially with their gangs. Guaranteed it was a Russian punk, and not a Polish one. Now, if this was Mount Prospect / Prospect Heights…
