VIDEO: Three-vehicle crash involving a semi-trailer that hit a pickup truck and caused it to rollover.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:50 a.m. to three-vehicle crash with a rollover of a pickup truck in the eastbound lanes of Dundee Road (Route 68). Arlington responded with a fire engine crew only, as all north ambulances were busy on other calls. Long Grove Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedics responded to assist Arlington Heights as the first responding ambulance. Palatine firefighter/paramedics were called as the second ambulance, but did not transport. At least one victim was transported by Long Grove firefighter/paramedics.

One victim was laying on the ground, but no victims were trapped. The pickup truck was totaled and resting on its roof, and appeared to have been rear-ended by a Volvo semi-trailer truck.

The word on the street was that the driver of the truck said the brakes did not work. The truck was investigated at Hillside Towing after it was towed to one of their facilities. Illinois State Police were also responding to investigate the truck.

A third vehicle — a white minivan — was also hit in the crash.
