Stolen Auto Recovered: Gold Chevy Cavalier Stolen from Shell Gas Station, Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police alerted area police departments about 5:00 p.m. Monday that a 1998 Chevy Cavalier was reported stolen about 3:30 p.m. Monday from the Shell gas station at 50 West Lake Cook Road. The gold Chevy Cavalier was stolen while the keys were in the car, and while it was parked unattended for a few minutes at the Shell gas station.

The offender was heavy set, woman with a dark complexion, a white cap, shorts and holding a blue cooler with a white lid.

The license number is 982 5600, apparently Illinois plates. The vehicle was recovered on eastbound I-90 at Touhy Avenue by Cook County Sheriff and/or Illinois State Police. Apparently the suspect was in custody.
