Palatine police responded about 11:00 p.m. Wednesday to a report of an adult shoplifter at Jewel-Osco, 423 East Palatine Road. Police received a report that a subject was struggling with security near the front of the store. Police believed an accomplice was possibly outside, also. Palatine police were on the scene within one minute and reported they had a the subject in custody. No word on any arrest of a second person.
Palatine police transported a male/juvenile in custody to Palatine Police Department Headquarters.
