Second Crash with Deer in One Week at Ridge and Lake Cook Road

Arlington Heights police and firefighters responded Saturday night to a second crash with a deer in one week. Arlington Heights police responded about 8:30 p.m. to a report of a deer crash with a white Toyota Avalon in the westbound lanes of Lake Cook Road at Ridge Avenue. No injuries to occupant(s) of the car reported, but the car was smoking after the crash and required a tow. The driver proceeded to the Terramere Plaze. The deer was killed and lying in the left turn lane of westbound Lake Cook Road at Ridge Avenue immediately after the crash. Cook County Highway Department officials were responding to remove the deer.

Last Saturday Arlington Heights police responded about 6:05 p.m. to a report of a deer crash with a Toyota Camry in the westbound lanes of Lake Cook Road at Ridge. No injuries to occupant(s) of the car reported. The deer continued running north into the Buffalo Creek Lake County Forest Preserve.
