Ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich told reporters after jurors got his case at his corruption retrial that he’s relieved he had a chance to speak in court.

Comments from former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich …

I’ve waited two-and-one-half years to finally get a chance to get on the witness stand and tell the truth and take as long as it takes to answer every question as honestly and fully as possible.

It’s been a very lonely ordeal … You wake up on a morning of December the 8th 2008 and you’re the governor of the fifth biggest state in America, and pretty much everybody calls you back and pretty much you’ve got a lot of friends … and then this happens to you the next morning, December the ninth, 2008 .. and then nobody calls you and those people you thought were your friends for a lot of different reasons are no longer what you though they were.
