2 Women Attacked, 1 Woman Stabbed Several Times While Jogging on University Drive in Rockford

Rockford police alerted area police departments about 12:50 p.m. Saturday that two women were attacked at 1600 University Drive in Rockford.

Police alerted law agencies statewide that a red older 4-door vehicle in poor condition was involved in the crime. The offender is described as a male/black about 40-years-old, 6’0″ with a medium build. He wearing a black shirt and blue pant. He is also described as missing a front tooth.

The red vehicle was last seen heading northbound on Lyford Road (1100 North).

The offender attacked two females while they were jogging, and stabbed one of the females several times. The crime is reported to have occurred about 12:40 p.m. Saturday

Police are also investigating random shootings at homes and apartments along Interstate 90 from Interstate 90 near the Illinois-Wisconsin border. Several Illinois homes were hit and one Wisconsin woman was injured.
