UPDATE FRIDAY MORNING: Victim was found already dead, bound and gagged in a chair in his home when police and firefighter/paramedics arrived. An autopsy is expected later today.

George Nellessen, 55, is reported to be the victim involved in a death investigation at his own house in the 1000 block of North Wilshire Lane. Police received a call for help that a male subject may have killed another person at the house. Police also receieved information that a 19-year-old male left the house in the victim’s car. Paramedics and police responded and confirmed a victim at the residence. Patrol officers immediately called for detectives to respond to the scene.

Police immediately put out an alert that the suspect fled in the victim’s Mercury Marquis, which was later discovered by Schaumburg police traveling northbound on Roselle Road, just south of Harper College. A police pursuit traveled from Harper College to East Dundee where the suspect was captured and placed in custody (more info on pursuit via link below).

Suspect information has not been released by police, but the suspect was described by witnesses as in his late teens or early 20’s with blond hair. He was wearing a camouflage jacket and black, baggy shorts.

Most recent arrest records show that a Matthew G. Nellessen, 19, lives at the address of 1031 North Wilshire and was charged by Kildeer Police on March 29, 2011 for driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license and suspended registration.

Wilshire is quiet street, just east of St. Viator High School. Most neighbors stayed inside while police detectives went door-to-door to see if there were any witnesses with information for the case.

Several schools in the area were in soft lockdown for a short time period as a precaution. St. Viator High School, Prospect High School, Thomas Middle School, Miner School Olive, and Windsor School were reported to be in soft lockdown.
