Shane Siefert, 2-Years-Old Killed By Toppled Dresser Furniture

Shane Siefert was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates and pronounced dead at 6:17 p.m. Monday. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, an autopsy on Tuesday indicated that a 2-year-old boy, Shane Siefert, of Barrington Hills died Monday from injuries caused by a dresser toppling onto him.

The death was ruled an accident.

  1. The the accidents of furniture falling over a toddler are so common especially dressers containing drawers. Toddlers love to climb and in seconds they can get badly injured or killed. I feel so sorry for the family that lost their child. Can’t imagine the pain they are going through right now.
