Three Separate Crashes on Westbound Palatine Rd, East of Route 53 in 15 Minutes

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:50 AM Thursday of a crash with no injuries in the westbound lanes of Palatine Road, just east of Route 53. Police arrived within a couple of minutes. As an officer arrived a second crash occurred, and then a third crash occurred in the same area.

At least one person was injured. Airbags were deployed in vehicles in the first crash.

In all the crashes considered, a Toyota Highlander, a Pontiac Highlander, a Chrysler Sebring, Honda Accord, and a Lexus RX 350. At least four tow trucks were called to the scene. There may have been additional vehicles involved that were not towed.

The right lane of westbound Palatine Road was obstructed for about 30 minutes.

Westbound traffic was backed up with a morning rush experiencing an delay. traffic No information available on victims, or whether anyone was transported to a hospital.
