First a Nuisance, Then Disturbance, Then Fight, Man with Knife: 1 Arrested on West Hawthorne

Arlington Heights police responded about 3:20 AM Friday of a fight in progress in the 1100 block of West Hawthorne Street. Police at first received a report of yelling and disturbance just after 3:20 a.m. in an apartment in the 1100 block of West Hawthorne. Police arrived and subjects were under control. No arrests.

Police received another report about 4:00 a.m. at the same address that two males were fighting at an apartment unit. The display of a knife was also reported. Police returned to the neighborhood and apartment.

At least one person locked themselves in a bathroom with a baby for their safety. Another person was locked in a bedroom for their own safety. Police had one offender in custody at about 4:20 a.m.

One adult male was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
