Arlington Heights police responded about 3:20 PM Thursday to a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Palatine Road and Rand Road. Police received a report that both vehicles — a Chevy Express Van and a white Mitsubishi — were pulling off to the side near Corner Bakery.
When police arrived the driver of the van told police that the driver of the white Mitsubishi took off westbound on Palatine Road or Rand Road.
The offending driver was described as a male/white in his 20’s.
The offending vehicle was described as a white Mitsubishi with heavy front end damage, possibly leaking fluids. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
