Buffalo Grove Police Respond to Burglary in Progress

Buffalo Grove police responded about 2:00 PM Thursday to a report of a burglary to an apartment in progress in the 700 block of Grove Drive. Buffalo Grove police received a report that an offender entered an apartment — possibly through a window. Their was a language barrier with the person calling in the crime. The residence is just west of Buffalo Grove High School.

Buffalo Grove police called for a K-9 unit for search, but it is unknown if any were available at the time. First attempts were unsuccessful.

The offender was described as a young male/Hispanic about 17-18 years-old, no glasses, no facial hair, wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and black pants.

Buffalo Grove police are investigating. No word on any police contact with the subjects, and no arrests reported.
