Northwest Central Dispatch 9-1-1 center for Arlington Heights and other nearby suburbs received numerous calls around noon for smoke in the south and west areas of Arlington Heights. The smoke has been drifting over from a controlled burn at Busse Woods, just south of Interstate 90 near Elk Grove Village.
